Mill: A Board Game with Multiple Rule Variants

Mill is a free board game program developed by Calcitem Studio for Android devices. The game supports various rule variants, including Nine Men's Morris, Twelve Men's Morris, "flying" rule, or no "flying" rule. The objective of the game is to align three pieces on a board line to create a mill and remove the opponent's pieces. The game ends when a player reduces to two pieces or is locked up.

In addition to playing against the AI, players can adjust the playing strength, import/export move list, and choose from a variety of color themes. The game also supports accessibility and is available in over 45 languages, including English, Persian, German, Hungarian, Russian, Arabic, Czech, Romanian, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, Polish, Turkish, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Hindi.

For beginners, it is recommended to play on the cross points as they offer more mobility to the pieces. Corners are weak as the player can only move in fewer directions. Giving pieces space to move and avoiding making mills straight away can also be helpful. Black has an advantage as it gets to place the last piece strategically. Players should also be aware of double attacks, where the opponent can attack two points at the same time.
